    Development

Lewis was derived from the original A Day With Wilbur Robinsonstorybook as a friend of Wilbur (rather than his father) that served as the narrator as he visited his friend's large and strange home.

    Personality

Born in 1995, Lewis is a twelve-year-old incredibly gifted Canadian boy in terms of intelligence. He loves to invent and has been doing so since he was young. While a generally kind kid who has good intentions, he can also let frustration cloud his mind. He easily becomes discouraged when his inventions don't work or he begins to think about how he is almost a teenager and still an orphan. He is also fairly single-minded and out of touch with his surroundings when he gets working on a project...

    Physical appearance

His outfit consists of a white short-sleeved collared shirt, blue sweater-vest, red shorts, white knee socks, brown shoes, and brown, tortoise-shell colored, round-rimmed glasses.

An orphan, Lewis was abandoned by his mother at the Sixth Street Orphanage when he was an infant in 1995. Because of his inventing hobby, he has scared off over 124 possible parent pairs and causes some difficulties for his roommate, Goob. After another adoption interview ends in disaster, he begins to lose hope of ever being adopted, especially with the onset of becoming a teenager, which, as Lewis stated, will be harder as couples considering adoption don’t usually adopt teenagers. He event...

Along with Bowler Hat Guy, Lucille, Carl, and Wilbur appear along with Lewis in the short, as well as many other Walt Disney Animation Studio characters. Both the Robinson boys appear when Belle and the Beast were singing "When You Wish Upon a Star". In that scene, Lewis was crying silently when Belle and the Beast sung "Will come to you", and Wilbur was smiling. In the final scene after everyone sang "Your Dreams Come True", Lewis and Wilbur are seen in the center left with Pegasusbehind them.

Lewis only makes brief appearances in the Meet the Robinsonsvideo game, with Cornelius sending a videophone message to Wilbur at the start of the game to stay out of trouble and a brief appearance as a child at the Science Fair. He is later mentioned by his wife Franny in the altered 2037 (in which Stanley and Lizzy are warring super villains), who laments about how unhappy he is working for Magma Co.

Lewis appeared as a walkaround character when the film was first released at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney California Adventure. Ever since, he has become rare, though can still be found as a random character in Hollywood Studios.

In the original book, Lewis and Mr. Robinson are two separate characters, due to the fact that time travel is only vaguely mentioned in the book and not used. Mr. Robinson essentially looked like a...
In an alternate ending of the film when after Lewis emerged into the meeting room with the time machine, he brought the Bowler Hat Guy back in time to the day of the game. After stopping Bowler Hat...
There are hints that Lewis is Cornelius and Wilbur's dad:
