Allen had ordered new scripts for the coming season. A few weeks later, however, CBS announced the complete list of returning television series for the 1968–69 season, and Lost in Space was not included. CBS executives failed to offer any reasons why Lost in Space was cancelled.
In February 2020, just days before the COVID-19 pandemic led to worldwide lockdowns, the series was renewed for a second season; [1] filming moved forward in late 2021, with a release date of October 10, 2022. [2] [3] In February 2023, the series was cancelled after two seasons.
Oct 7, 2021 · A release date took an eternity to be announced, but we can confirm that season 3 of Lost in Space will arrive on Netflix on December 1st, 2021. In early September 2021, Zack Estrin did tease that they were working on a trailer that could debut at Netflix’s TUDUM but hasn’t been confirmed as part of the lineup.
