The 2-Year Reinstatement license is nonrenewable. Educators will need to meet renewal requirements and renew or transition their expired associate or professional license (s) or certificate (s) to be properly certified for the next school year.

Aug 17, 2022 · After Oct. 1, the renewal coursework requirement increases to nine semester hours for professional, advanced or associate licenses and six semester hours for Resident Educator licenses. Contact the Office of Educator Licensure at Educator.Licensure@education.ohio.gov with questions.
Educators may submit their renewal applications as early as November 1 of the year preceding their license expiration date. The LPDC must be selected in the renewal application. Renewal applications go directly to the LPDCs for verification that renewal requirements have been met.
Oct 31, 2022 · The Ohio Department of Education’s online application system opens Nov. 1 for renewal of educator licenses that expire June 30, 2023. Educators who have met renewal requirements can avoid the summer rush by submitting their online applications when the window opens.
