15-time PRCA Specialty Act of the Year, John Payne the One Arm Bandit is a legend in the Western world. In June 1973, John was electrocuted by 7,200 volts, which led to the loss of his arm. His one-of-a-kind act features not only horses but buffalo, cattle, mules, and zebras.

John Payne always loved working with horses, but never could have imagined a devastating accident that almost took his life would transform him into the one armed bandit. While working on a construction site, John accidentally connected with 7,200 volts of electricity and was technically dead for about 5 minutes.
