Apr 17, 2024 · Download maps. Here are maps in Garmin image file format people have created from OSM data. Sites are listed by continent, then by country alphabetically, then by suspected usefulness (eg. sites which cover a whole continent and are updated regularly are listed first.)
Mar 10, 2024 · Turns out, that there are several ways to download OpenStreetMap data. Conveniently, there’s even an OSM Data Wikipedia page with all the available OSM extracts. My suggestion is Geofabrik because it’s organized by continent, country, and then province or state.

Oct 26, 2023 · It is possible to download map data from the OpenStreetMap dataset in a number of ways. The full dataset is available from the OpenStreetMap website download area. It is also possible to select smaller areas to download. Data normally comes in the form of .osm files in the OSM XML format.
Oct 30, 2017 · The first method is to download directly from the OpenStreetMap website using their exporter. Simply go to www.openstreetmap.org and find the area you would like to download data for. Hit the “Export” button and you will see a screen with the Extent of the download appear.
Steps: Download OSM data from XAPI (using the download-osm command). Or, if you already have an OSM XML file, load it using the load-source command. Turn off the existing Web map layer (click on the yellow star in the bottom right corner). Generate tiles using the generate-tiles command.
