It’s a theme that comes up throughout Stephens’ episode of the Screen Australia podcast, whether he’s talking about working with different broadcasters, to pitching television ideas, to how the production company Lingo Pictures came about.
Jason Stephens is one of Australia’s most prolific and highly awarded drama producers. Most recently he was the lead Producer on Upright, a co-production for Foxtel Australia and Sky UK starring Tim Minchin. Rated 8.5 on IMDB, it has received ardent critical and audience acclaim. He is currently in production on a second season.
Since retiring from professional Rugby League, Jason Stevens has written a number of movies to be brought to life in the coming years. Jason Stevens Productions and Resplendent Pictures first movie is Chasing Comets, due for cinematic release in August 2018.

They include Forget Me Not, the latest series from Class of ’07 creator Kacie Anning (pictured left) plus new projects from Curio Pictures, Lingo Pictures, Wooden Horse and Magpie Pictures.
