The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district of the city, on the south-eastern edge of its centre.

Dec 22, 2023 · Undoubtedly one of Vienna's most visited tourist spots and an important historic site, this splendid attraction consists of two Baroque palaces built for Prince Eugene: the Lower (Unteres) Belvedere, and the Upper (Oberes) Belvedere.
The Belvedere is not only a magnificent Baroque palace. As a museum it also houses one of Austria's most valuable art collections – with key works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka.

Belvedere Castle comprises two separate palaces, both designed by the famous Baroque architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt and connected by a large garden. The first palace, known as the Lower Belvedere, was built between 1712 and 1716 and included the prince’s private rooms.
The magnificent Belvedere Palace, dating back to the 18th century, stands as the former summer residence of the Austrian general, Prince Eugene of Savoy. Regarded as one of Vienna's top 10 attractions, this baroque palace comprises two distinct sections: the Lower Belvedere and the Upper Belvedere.
