This beach is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches of all the Hawaiian islands! The views of Kaho’olawe and Molokini are astounding from here. Big Beach GREAT for swimming, surfing and boogie boarding… but do TAKE CARE. There is an intense shore break, quite characteristic to this particular beach.

The longest stretch of sandy beach in Makena State Park is Makena Beach also known as Big Beach. The 3,000 feet of soft, golden -white sand stretches between two lava rock outcropping. The 100 ft wide beach has shade trees along the backend of the beach.
Jul 5, 2012 · One of the prettiest beach on Maui. Yes it cost money to enter since it's a state park, but it's worth it. The long stretches of sand here is white and soft with welcoming teal blue waters. This park connects to little beach, just over the volcano rock.
