Aug 18, 2021 · Key Biscayne residents and commuters are reminded to renew their annual Rickenbacker Causeway passes. Renewals are due Sept. 30th. All annual plans are valid from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30 regardless of when you purchase the plan, and can be purchase through the Miami-Dade Causeways website.

The Rickenbacker Causeway includes several distinct segments including the toll plaza, the West Bridge, Hobie Island, the William M. Powell Bridge, Virginia Key, and Bear Cut Bridge. It is the only land access to Crandon Park, Village of Key Biscayne, and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

The Causeway is a toll road, owned and operated by Miami-Dade County. Automobiles traveling southbound from Miami pay a toll of US$2.25 [3] as of 2018; northbound traffic is not charged any toll. Tolls are collected via Sunpass; C-Pass transponders or cash are no longer accepted. [4]
