Lydia ( Ancient Greek: Λυδία, romanized : Lūdiā; Latin: Lȳdia) was an Iron Age historical region in western Anatolia, in modern-day Turkey. Before 546 BC, it was an independent kingdom which at one point ruled much of Anatolia.
