Jan 29, 2024 · In 2022, Louisiana became the first state to introduce and pass a law requiring websites that host adult content to verify that users are over 18 years old. Last year, six more states, including Virginia, passed similar laws, in some cases directly copying the language used in the Louisiana bill.
