    This Hostage Earth is the twenty-fourth episode of Season One of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the overall series. It is also the first trilogy of Loki's War.

    The Masters of Evil (now joined by Chemistro, and the Living Laser, excluding Grey Gargoyle by his death and betrayal) prepare for a full-scale invasion of Earth…and unless the Avengers can stop them, the legions of the Nine Realms are coming to Earth.

    In Karnilla's palace, she is turned to stone by the Grey Gargoyle but he is killed by Enchantress and she takes a Norn Stone. She returns to the Masters of Evil and Zemo has them prepare for the attack.

    In the Avengers Mansion, Iron Man picks up several different anomalies all over the world. He sends an Avenger to each place. Each Avenger battles a member of the Masters of Evil before Iron Man tells them to destroy the Norn Stones. They do and they are scattered throughout the Nine Realms. It ends with Thor realizing that Loki has the Asgardian throne.

    •In an inside joke, as the team separates to go to different parts of the world, Iron Man says "Avengers Assemble! Well, actually, Avengers Disassemble!" in a reference to the storyline from 2004.

    •As Hawkeye is battling Chemistro, he acts like he doesn't know who Chemistro is an calls him "Paste Pot Pete" and the "Hypno Hustler".
