Old Prairie Town at Ward-Meade Historic Site is an open-air museum, park and historic site spreading over the 5.5-acre estate on the 124 SW Fillmore Street. Dating back to 1870, the Ward-Meade house is considered to be the very first mansion built in Topeka.
Nov 20, 2023 · Burnett's Mound is the highest natural point in Topeka. Excellent place to see all over the county. This mound was said to protect the city from tornados by the native Americans, which was proven to be false by the monster F-5 twister that devasted the city in 1966.
