You can continue 0.6 miles (0.97 km) to Spray and Imperial geysers, which adds 1.2 miles (1.9 km) to the hike.

Yellowstone National Park contains at least 45 named waterfalls and cascades, and hundreds more unnamed, even undiscovered waterfalls over 15 feet (4.6 m) high. The highest plunge type waterfall in the park is the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River at 308 feet (94 m). The highest horsetail type is Silver Cord Cascade at 1,200 feet (370 m).

Mar 16, 2022 · Located in the northeastern part of Yellowstone near Tower Junction, the fall plunges a stunning 132 feet. The unusual rock columns north of the fall were created by lava flow the cracked as it cooled. And interestingly enough, up until 1986, visitors could see a large boulder perched on the edge of where the fall drops.
