Director Kirk Wise has revealed Disney's original plan for a since-cancelled Atlantis: The Lost Empire sequel. Released in 2001, Atlantis revolves around Milo (voiced by Michael J. Fox), an intrepid wannabe adventurer who sets out with a team of explorers to find the lost kingdom of Atlantis in the year 1914.
Atlantis: Milo's Return (promoted as Atlantis II: Milo's Return) is a sequel to Atlantis: The Lost Empire that was released in 2003. It is an edited version of three episodes of the cancelled Team Atlantis series linked together with new animation to form a sequel.
