Mar 26, 2024 · Charles R. Moyer Sr., 85, of North Coventry Twp., Pottstown, husband of the late Mary (Kijak) Moyer, died at his home surrounded by his sons and daughter. Born in Zieglersville, PA, he was a son of the late Newton Moyer and the late Emma (Grubb) Frankenberg.

Jul 28, 2020 · The hundreds of cottages throughout Mt. Gretna showcase the area’s unique history. These cottages are mainly distributed throughout three areas of Mt. Gretna, known as the Campmeeting, Chautauqua, and the Heights. All photos are by LebTown photographer Will Trostel, unless otherwise noted.
Mt. Gretna, nestled within a forest of chestnut trees, played a crucial role in providing charcoal for the Cornwall Furnace, which supplied cannons for George Washington's army over a century ago. The area gained popularity in 1883 when it was discovered as an idyllic spot for a summer day out, accessible via the Cornwall and Lebanon Railroad.
