On January 12, 1989, Warner Communications (now "Time Warner", then WarnerMedia) acquired Lorimar-Telepictures and both distribution arms were folded into Warner Bros. Television Distribution by forming "Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution" and continued producing the surviving TV shows.
Telepictures, which Lorimar had been trying to de-emphasize since the merger in 1986 (and which was discontinued entirely after the WB merger) was brought back as a Talk Show and daytime-TV production division circa 1990, and is still in business to this day. note
