    Midway Games, previously known as Midway Manufacturing and Bally Midway, sometimes shortened as Midway, was an American video game developer and publishing company before moving towards interactive media in 1973. Its headquarters were based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Well-known Midway video game series included Mortal Kombat, Rampage, Spy Hunter, NBA Jam, Cruis'n and NFL Blitz.

    The company was in 1958 as an amusement game manufacturer. In February 2009, it filed for bankruptcy in Delaware. In June 2010, the company terminated the public registration.
