A College Preparatory High School of Excellence in the Marist Tradition. Founded by the Marist Brothers in the heart of Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1935, Central Catholic High School enrolls approximately 1,200 students from over 60 communities.
Admission to Central Catholic is selective. Candidates for grade nine may apply to Central Catholic by using the CCHS Application Portal. We also will accept the Standard Application Online (SAO) in lieu of Central’s application.

Mar 26, 2024 · Central Catholic High School (CCHS) is a coeducational, college preparatory high school of excellence founded by the Marist Brothers in 1935. CCHS provides rigorous custom academic pathways for students offering 27 Advanced Placement courses, an Honors Program and 2 additional levels of college preparatory coursework.
Central Catholic High School is a college preparatory school with an academic campus in Lawrence, Massachusetts and an athletic campus in Lawrence, Massachusetts associated with the Marist Brothers of the Schools and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and founded in 1935 by Brother Florentius.
Central Catholic offers 30 varsity sports teams, with more than half of our students playing on at least one of them. All students are welcome to play competitive athletics at Central Catholic, although participation in sports is not required.

Since 1927, Central Catholic High School has been building a proud tradition of excellence as a high school for young men. The school is conducted by the Christian Brothers, diocesan clergy, and dedicated laymen and laywomen under the auspices of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
