Mar 20, 2023 · Diana was born in 1961 to parents Frances Roche and John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, at a property known as Park House. The house is situated on Sandringham estate, which, at the time, was owned by Queen Elizabeth II. Prior to Diana's birth, Frances and John desperately wanted another child, having lost a son just hours after he was born in 1960.
