On his way home, parolee Billy kidnaps a tap-dancing teen (Christina Ricci) and forces her to meet his parents (Angelica Huston and Ben Gazzara), pretend to be his wife, and come face-to-face with the man he intends to kill: the football player turned strip-club owner who missed a winning goal in 1966.
