Jun 1, 2008 · Jeff Bridges makes Obadiah Stane one of the great superhero villains by seeming plausibly concerned about the stock price. Terrence Howard, as Col. Rhodes, is at every moment a conventional straight arrow. What a horror show it would have been if they were all tuned to Tony Stark's sardonic wave length.
For me, I found Iron Man enjoyable but, unfortunately, my socks remained firmly on my feet. It’s a good start to what I suspect will have many more installments, but it lacks the lift off to be a classic super hero movie. Critical Movie Critic Rating: 4.
