His feast day is 9 September. Life. Frédéric Ozanam was born on Friday, 23 April 1813, to Jean and Marie Ozanam. [ 2] . He was the fifth of 14 children, one of only three to reach adulthood. [ 3] . His family, which had distant Jewish connections, [ 4] had been settled in the region around Lyon, France, for many centuries.
One disciple in her mission of service was Frédéric Ozanam, founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. After 50 years of dedicated service to the poor in the Mouffetard district in Paris, she died on February 7, 1856. Pope John Paul II beatified Sister Rosalie in 2003.
