Due to its stature, things can be a bit pricey in Douala, as it’s one of the the most expensive in Africa, along with Lagos, Nigeria and Luanda, Angola.
With a metro population over 2.8 million in 2015, Douala is the biggest city in Cameroon and sits on the Wouri River Delta where it hosts a port and some 95% of industrial activity for the country.
