Dec 29, 2020 · Finnmark North Sámi is traditionally divided into two subdialects: Western; and Eastern. The traditional dialectal boundaries (as explained by e.g, Sammallahti, 1998) do not follow the state borders; Western and Eastern dialects are spoken in both Norway and Finland (see Figure 1 ).
