History. New Bedford High School ( NBHS) is a public high school located at 230 Hathaway Boulevard in the West End of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The school is the 3rd physical site of NBHS since being established as one of the first High Schools in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1827. [4] The current school was built in 1972. [5]
