Sep 7, 2016 · 1993: The Langley campus opens. 1994: Summer courses are first offered on-campus. 1995: The institution’s name officially becomes Kwantlen University College, allowing it to grant degrees. The first honorary degree recipient is Barry Leach for environmental education.
