The Inspector Erlendur Series is a popular murder mystery series featuring Reykjavík detective Erlendur Sveinsson. Written by Icelandic author Arnaldur Indriðason, the series is published in the U.S. by Minotaur Press and consists of more than a dozen novels.
Also known known as ‘Jar City’ and ‘Tainted Blood’ abroad, it features Inspector Erlendur for his third book in the series, although this is the first translation into English. In it Arnaldur brings his readers into the setting of Reykjavik where a man is found murdered in his flat.
