Oct 10, 2012 · Recent studies have shown that cancer-related alterations in glucose and glutamine metabolism are strongly influenced by c-Myc expression 79. In particular, the demonstration of persistent, c-Myc-dependent hypoxic metabolism of glutamine, even in the absence of glucose suggests that this is a major influence of c-Myc expression.
