Jan 3, 2024 · Please note that the Ph.D. in Architecture, Ph.D. in Historic Preservation, and Ph.D. in Urban Planning programs are administered by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). The online application as well as instructions, deadlines, and procedures are available on the GSAS website .
The PhD program in Historic Preservation program supports advanced research and development of experimental preservation methods, praxes, theories, histories, policies, materials and technologies of care for historic buildings and the existing built environment writ large.
The program's focus is on architecture and modernity internationally, from the 18th century to the present. A wide range of research is supported through the varied expertise of the faculty and through strong relationships with other departments throughout the university.
