Janet E. Turner (1914–1988) was an American artist known for her printmaking. [1] Early life and education. Turner was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 7, 1914. From 1932 to 1936, she attended Stanford University where she became interested in art and majored in Far Eastern History.

Dr. Janet Turner (1914-1988) was a professor of fine art and art education at California State University, Chico (1959-1981) and founded the University’s printmaking program, teaching generations of artists and teachers.
