Carter Benedict Burwell (born November 18, 1954) is an American film composer. He has frequently collaborated with the Coen brothers , having scored most of their films. He has also scored films by other directors such as Bill Condon , Todd Haynes , Spike Jonze , Martin McDonagh , James Foley , Brian Helgeland , and John Lee Hancock .
Nov 19, 2006 · This is a great score, which simply makes for very pleasant listening. Burwell adapts part of Prokofiev's Lt Kije Suite nicely for a couple of tracks, but mostly creates original light-hearted music which captures so well the spirit of Doc Hollywood, a sort of modern day Frank Capra movie.
