Dau Tieng Base Camp. Dau Tieng, also known as Camp Ranier, was located next to the Saigon River, in the middle of the Michelin Rubber Plantation. It was a base camp and stopping off point for many Infantry units, such as the 3rd Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division, who made their command and control headquarters there.

Dầu Tiếng Base Camp (also known as LZ Dầu Tiếng or Camp Rainier) is a former U.S. Army and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) base in the Dầu Tiếng District in Bình Dương Province in southern Vietnam.
The base was established in October 1966. The camp was located in the Dầu Tiếng District, 60 km northwest of Tan Son Nhut Air Base and 24 km east of Tây Ninh between the Saigon River and the Michelin Rubber Plantation. The 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division comprising:
•2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry
•2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry
•2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry:145
was based at Dầu Tiếng from December 1966-June 1967.

The base appears to remain in use by the PAVN. The airfield is no longer used but still clearly visible on satellite images.

Dầu Tiếng Base Camp is a former U.S. Army and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) base in the town of Dầu Tiếng in Bình Dương Province in southern Vietnam.
The unit was finally deployed at a strategic outpost northwest of Saigon named Dau Tieng after Operation Attleboro discovers a major enemy operating area based in the Michelin Rubber Plantation nearby. Dau Tieng base camp became a major staging area for thrusts deep into War Zone C.
George was assigned to the 2/12th Infantry 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. His assigned base camp was Dau Tieng in War zone C, not far from the Cambodian Border. He met his friend and fellow Hoonah soldier James Lindoff Jr. of Hoonah in one day while walking to lunch.
