On behalf of the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), I am pleased to present the 2021 edition of the Condition of Education, an annual report mandated by the U.S. Congress that summarizes the latest data on education in the United States.
Among 25-34 year-olds, 46% of men and 56% of women have attained tertiary education, higher than the OECD averages for both groups (41% and 54%, respectively). A larger share of 15-19 year-olds are enrolled in tertiary education in the United States (19%) than on average across OECD countries (12%).
