Sara Jane Moore (née Kahn; born February 15, 1930) is an American criminal who attempted to assassinate U.S. President Gerald Ford in 1975. [1] [2] She was given a life sentence for the attempted assassination and she was released from prison on December 31, 2007, after serving 32 years.
