   • Whenever we go to Buffalo, we go to visit Our Lady of Victory Shrine & Basilica. Decided to visit while heading to Niagara with my mother and very happy we did. The building and grounds around are absolutely beautiful. The organization has an interesting history and everyone is welcome to visit. The staff we met were so welcoming and knowledgeable.

   When was the first Mass held at Our Lady of victory?

   • By late 1925, construction on the sanctuary of Our Lady of Victory was complete, and the first Mass was held there on Christmas of that year. On May 25, 1926, a consecration ceremony took place presided over by Father Baker, Bishop William Turner of the Diocese of Buffalo, and Cardinal Patrick Hayes.
