Paul Lester Overstreet (born March 17, 1955) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He began his singing career in 1982 with a self-titled album on RCA Records Nashville.
After graduating from high-school at the age of eighteen, Paul Overstreet moved from the bayous of Mississippi to the music capital of the world, Nashville, Tennessee. Not owning a suitcase, he brought with him a laundry basket of Levis and football jerseys, ten original songs and a guitar.
Paul Overstreet is a two time Grammy Award winning, country music singer-songwriter. He is in the NSAI Songwriter's Hall of Fame, and received multiple ACM, CMA, and Dove Awards. He was BMI Songwriter of the Year for 5 years in a row.
