Wesley Kent Fuchs (/ f ɒ k s /; born 1954) is an American university professor and academic administrator. He was the 12th president of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, serving from 2015 to 2023.
Dr. Fuchs served as UF’s 12th president from January 2015 to February 2023. He may be best remembered for guiding UF to reach a decades-old goal of joining the nation’s top-10 public research universities as measured by U.S. News and World Report’s Best College Rankings.
