The Governor's Academy (informally known as Governor's) is a co-educational, college-preparatory day and boarding school in Byfield, Massachusetts. Established in 1763 in memory of Massachusetts governor William Dummer, Governor's is the oldest boarding school in New England.

Following the passing of Rep. Robert Forguites in April of 2019, Kristi was appointed by Governor Phil Scott later in July to fill the open seat after the Local Democratic Committee process concluded and their recommendations submitted. He was elected to his first full biennium in 2020.
