The Winsor School is a private, college preparatory day school for girls in Boston, serving grades 5 through 12.
In 1910, a group of wealthy Boston parents built Mary Winsor a brand-new campus in the Longwood neighborhood, at which point the school was renamed to The Winsor School. Designed by prominent Boston architect R. Clipston Sturgis, the campus included a library, science laboratories, art studios, and athletic facilities.

Winsor welcomes applications for Grades 5 through 7 in our Lower School, and for Grades 9 through 11 in our Upper School. Most students enter Winsor in Grades 5, 6, or 9. Openings in Grades 7, 10, and 11 are more limited.

For the 2023–24 academic year, Winsor’s comprehensive tuition is $59,500. Over 25% of our students receive need-based tuition assistance, with grants covering from 5% to 100% of overall tuition. We welcome applications for need-based tuition assistance and offer a variety of payment plans.
