Carl Gustav Jung (/ j ʊ ŋ / YUUNG; German: [kaʁl ˈjʊŋ]; 26 July 1875 – 6 June 1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist, psychotherapist and psychologist. After ending a period of collaboration with Freud and involvement in the early psychoanalytic movement he went on to found the school of analytical psychology .
