To change the password via Control Panel, search for ‘Control Panel’ in Windows Search and select it from the Search results. On the Control Panel Window, click on ‘Change account type’ under User Accounts. Now, select the account for which you want to change the password. After selecting the account, click on ‘Change the password’.

Go to Microsoft account security and select Password security. As a security measure, you might be prompted to verify your identity with a security code. Decide if you want to receive the security code by email or phone. You'll be asked to verify your email address or the last four digits of your phone number, and then select Send code.

Go to the Outlook website in your browser and log into your account. Go to the Security page and click Change my password under Password Security. Then you can enter your current password, enter a new password and reenter the new password for your Outlook email account. Click the Save button to save the new Outlook password.
