  3. Bio. Shih-Ching Tsou was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. She came to New York for her Master’s degree in Media Studies at The New School. It was at The New School where she met Sean Baker. Together they co-created the feature film Take Out, which premiered at the Slamdance film festival, and won the Regal Cinemas Dreammaker Award.

She went on to work with Baker on his third film, Starlet, as an executive producer and costume designer. The film had its world premiere at SXSW on March 11, 2012.
