Feb 22, 2020 · The Canada pavilion is arguably one of Epcot’s most beautifully landscaped pavilions, and it’s dominated by the castle-esque peaks of the huge “Hotel du Canada”, based on Ottawa’s historic Victorian hotel, Le Chateau Laurier.
The Canada pavilion's centerpiece was inspired by the Chateau Laurier, a historic hotel found in Ottawa. It's amazing how they manage to feature an entire country's landscaping into the setting. The colorful grounds are reminiscent of the Butchart Gardens found in Victoria, British Columbia.
Turning right as you enter World Showcase from Future World, you approach the Canada Pavilion which showcases the Rockies, Furriers and Trappers, and Indians. The most prominent landmark you see is Hotel du Canada, patterned after the French Gothic design of the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.
