For those who have not been made aware as of January 22nd, POF and MeetMe will be 2 seperate streaming platforms and will no longer have joined streams. Meaning that if you are on MeetMe and you have a favorite streamer on POF, you will no longer be able to see the POF user's stream on the MeetMe site, you would need to make a POF account to see.
I don't pay any attention to the "meet me" part of POF - it's utterly useless. You're better off to use the search function to find people who meet the criteria you're actually looking for, read their profiles, and message the ones you're interested in and might also be interested in you.

AFAIK there is no method to change the meet me distance. If you really want to limit it you will have to do a search (possibly picking advanced search) and do it that way. I also don't recommend even using the meet me feature anyway because free users will not ever be able to know you selected them.

The problem with the Meet me feature is it shows you people that might be out of your filtered range and it also shows you people where you may be out of their range. I always searched for guys near me within a certain distance and age range then I would go through profiles and actually read them.

By doing a Google image search, I quickly found that the photos on his profile are not him, but some Lebanese pilot.
