West Virginia reports four new COVID deaths; active cases remain below 700
Statewide active cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus remained under 700 on Wednesday while another four residents were confirmed as deaths from the virus, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported.

Nov 23, 2022 · The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of November 23, 2022, there are currently 664 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been four deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 7,594 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
On March 29, 2020, the state reported its first COVID-19 death. As of April 2022 West Virginia had 498,890 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 6,794 deaths from the disease. The National Center for Health Statistics estimates that between 99 and 434 excess deaths have occurred in the state through May 9, 2020.
