There are two more changes to searching for matches on POF as well. The search function used to be split into two types: Advanced & Basic. But now it's all rolled into one "Refine Search" screen. And you can no longer do a POF search without registering. So you’ll need a POF profile.
- Decide Whether to Stay Hidden or Not. If you’re looking for a cheating partner or checking for a catfish, chances are they wouldn’t want to be found. They could simply hide their profile or leave the app completely if they find you before you find them.
- Basic and Advanced Searches. Not all POF users can make use of this feature, but the investment can be worth it if you’re really in a jam. Basic Search.
- The “My Matches” Search. If you click on the POF logo on the top left of your screen, you can activate “my matches.” This will keep matching you with suitable profiles over time.
- Activate “My City” If you’re not having much luck finding someone on POF, you can activate the “my city” option in your location settings. It will narrow your search down a bit.
Just put their username in and search and it’ll pull up their profile, which’ll open in your POF account when you click it. Warning it’s a waste of time. I did 8 searches and found all of them to be fake profiles. One picture only, gorgeous girl and or butt picture, one long run on sentence with obvious errors for profile.
