moreSprawling across 100 acres (40.47 hectares), Mooney Grove Park is an iconic park in Visalia. Established in 1909, it is among the biggest oak woodlands in the state. The park was created by Hugh Mooney who wanted to protect the valley's disappearing oak woodlands. Ensconced with mighty oak sentinels, there are many trials, historical buildings, a disc golf, a pioneer village, playground, picnic pavilions and horseshoes. The Tulare County Museum is also housed in the park. You can also go on boating in the beautiful lagoon.less
