Directions: Access to the MF Tule River is by Hwy 190 from Porterville. Porterville is 60 miles north of Bakersfield along Highway 65. Take the Hwy 190 east to Lake Success. Hwy 190 passes through the town of Springville and follows the Middle Fork to it's headwaters at Quaking Aspen.
The river originates in the Sierra Nevada east of Porterville and consists of three forks, North, Middle and South. The North Fork and Middle Fork meet above Springville. The South Fork meets the others at Lake Success. Downstream of Success Dam, the river flows west through Porterville.
