- THE RIDDLER (FRANK GORSHIN) SEASON 1 (EPISODES 1, 2, 11, 12, 23, 24, 31, 32), SEASON 3 (EPISODE 2) The quintessential (and first) Batman villain to star in the 1966 series, Frank Gorshin would end up playing The Riddler in all of the character’s appearances in the series except for a two-episode span during season two when John Astin stepped into the green tights.

Over the course of 120 episodes, Batman and Robin faced off against a good deal of Gotham's worst. We culled together a list of the 37 primary guest stars listed in the episodes.
- The Joker (Cesar Romero) Real talk, straight talk: Romero’s Joker is the best Joker of all time. Better than Jack Nicholson. Better than Heath Ledger. Almost assuredly better than Jared Leto.
- The Riddler (Frank Gorshin) It was a real neck and neck battle between Gorshin’s Riddler and the number one villain on this list. In the end, it’s a bit of a quantity over quality issue.
- Penguin (Burgess Meredith) Of all the villains on this list, the Penguin always came equipped with the best plans. He started a movie company. He ran for Mayor.
- Catwoman (Julie Newmar) No disrespect to Kitt. No disrespect to Meriwether. But Newmar is the best. She’s so great as Catwoman, it’s a downright shame she couldn’t show up for the third season.
